The Blue People (青の民), also known as the Benthonic People (水底の民), is an ancient civilisation introduced in The Legend of Heroes V: Cagesong of the Ocean.

Background

The Blue People were the centre of civilisation before Gagharv. They were a highly developed society, advanced in the fields of culture and technology. It is said they ruled the world after the gods Bardus and Octum fell into their slumber. The Blue People developed the ability to change sound into power by creating and mastering the art of Resonance Magic in B.G.59. Weltlunar legends claim that wielders of Resonance Magic could use instruments to turn music into powerful forces after many years of training.

They enjoyed half a century of prosperity until they discovered the dangers of their invention, Harmful Frequencies. This negative energy was the cause of the Gagharv. After they managed to seal away the majority of the Harmful Frequencies, they themselves also vanished from surface of the earth. It is a well-known tale in Weltluna: "The Benthonic People vanished alongside their magic because mankind overused their magic and spawned the demon lord."
