Sacred Treasures

The Sacred Treasures (六つの神宝) are six divine relics in The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion.

Background

The battle between Bardus and Octum was decided when the former sealed the latter. Since light and darkness are two sides of the same coin, however, Bardus's half of the body was shattered into six pieces when he sealed away Octum.

Bardus entrusted his scattered body, the Sacred Treasures, to the Spirit Goddess Durga, who held a neutral position between the two gods. One of the treasures, Cabeza, the god's head in which resides infinite wisdom, is said to have been passed on to the Church of Bardus.

The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion

The six Sacred Treasures, each consisting of a rare metal, are used to forge the Sacred Sword Elysium, which means 'paradise of the gods' in the ancient tongue. This sword is the only means for humans to oppose Octum.

After the sword served its purpose, it was handed to Michel de Lap Haven, who renamed it Esperanza, meaning 'carver of hope'.
